WINDSTORM AND HAIL COVERAGE FOR SATELLITE DISHES AND RADIO AND TELEVISION AERIALS
FUNCTION:
The Dwelling Fire policies do not include coverage for windstorm or hail losses to radio or television antennas, aerials or satellite dishes, positioners, receivers, descramblers, including lead-in wiring, masts or towers, and related satellite dish equipment when any of these types of property are located outdoors. The Windstorm and Hail Coverage for Satellite Dishes and Radio and Television Aerials endorsement will provide coverage for these losses up to the Special Amount of Insurance displayed on the endorsement.
EXAMPLE:
George purchased a Foremost Dwelling Fire policy to insure his rental home. During a severe windstorm, his satellite dish is completely destroyed. Since George also purchased the Windstorm and Hail Coverage for Satellite Dishes and Radio and Television Aerials endorsement to cover his satellite dish for $2,000, this loss will be covered. George will only pay his deductible. Without this endorsement, he would have to pay for the entire loss out-of-pocket.
USAGE:
Available for all Dwelling Fire policies.
SPECIAL UNDERWRITING CONSIDERATIONS:
The Windstorm and Hail Coverage for Satellite Dishes and Radio and Television Aerials endorsement is not available in areas where a windstorm/hail exclusion is required on the policy.
